The Bunny or The Christ
(happy resurrection day)
The entire Christian faith is based on the fact that Jesus died, was resurrected, and is coming back again to put an end to sin (Hebrews 9:27-28, Daniel 9:27, Acts 2:22-24). The physical abuse Christ suffered was nothing compared to the thought of being separated from His Father.
That being said what in the world does the Easter Bunny have to do with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ? The answer to our question goes back thousands of years to a husband and wife team by the name of Nimrod and Semiramis. Nimrod became known as the sun god and Semiramis became known as Ishtar also pronounced Easter.
Noah had three sons, one of whom was named Ham. Ham bore a son whom he named Cush. Cush married a woman by the name of Semiramis. Cush and Semiramis bore a son by the name of Nimord. Cush died and Nimrod married his mother, Semiramis. Nimrod was known as a mighty hunter and became a powerful king (Genesis 10:8, 9). Nimrod built up two of the most powerful and well-known empires in the Bible, Babel a.k.a. Babylon, and Nineveh (Genesis 10:10-12). Nineveh is where Jonah was sent to preach repentance. Nineveh is known as the seat of Ishtar and also means house or place of fish...this will be important later.
Nimrod became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and mother, became the powerful queen of ancient Babylon.
Nimrod was out in battle one day and was killed by an enemy, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom. Semiramis had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found. That missing part was his reproductive organ.
Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now called Baal, the sun god. Baal was originally known as Marduk who became known to many nations including Israel as Baal. Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame such as a candle or lamp when used in worship.
Semiramis was creating a mystery religion that is now the base of virtually every false form of worship today. With the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess. She even clamied that she immaculately conceived a son. She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full. She also claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River. Semiramis became known as Ishtar which is pronounced Easter and her moon egg became known as Ishtar's egg.
Ishtar, a.k.a. Semiramis, claimed that the sun god Baal caused her to conceive Tammuz. In other words she became pregnant without a husband and had to explain how this could happen.
Tammuz had an affinity for rabbits and they eventually became sacred because he was the son of a god. While out in the field one day, Tammuz was killed by wild pigs, and it is said that he ascended up to Baal.
Forty days before the anniversary of his death, each year, a time of weeping for Tammuz was honored. Those who worshipped him and the event would make the sign of a T (or a cross) in front of their hearts as they worshipped. They began to put T's on cakes which became known as hot cross buns. On the anniversary of his resurrection his worshippers would gather for a sunrise service to honor his assention to the sun god Baal.
Satan has been perverting the Christian faith for thousands of years, and it is no surprise how effective he has been. However, as hard as he tries to mix truth and error Christ will always have true steadfast followers who will not be fooled.
Satan Perverts the Crucifixion of Christ
-The women weeping for Tammuz as seen in Ezekiel 8:14, though condemned in the Bible, transferred into the Christian church as Lent.
-The T for Tammuz transferred into the Christian church as the sign of the cross.
-Tammuz cakes transferred into the church as Hot Cross Buns, this is condemned in the Bible in Jeremiah 7:18.
-Worship honoring the ascension of Tammuz transferred into the Christian church as sunrise services...even though Christ rose while it was yet dark (John 20:1).
-Many people eat pig on Easter are, unkowingly, getting even with the pigs who killed Tammuz.
-The immaculate conception of Semiramis was transferred into the church as Mary's immaculate conception. It is said that for her to be able to have a sinless child, Mary herself had to have been born sinless. This is contrary to what the Bible teaches because Romans 3:23 says "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (see also Romans 3:9-12). Even Mary saw the need of, and expressed her joy in, our Savior (Luke 1:46, 47). Only Christ Himself has maintained a sinless life (Hebrews 4:14, 15). That is why only He could bear our sins.
-Easter eggs are painted in honor of the goddess Ishtar after her supposed arival in the form of an egg.
As you can see, many of the things we hold as sacred to the Easter holiday have little to nothing to do with the Ressurrection of Jesus Christ. It has more to due with false gods and reproduction and fertility i.e. chicks and bunnys.
Why not take the time this holiday and spend time with your family honoring the greatest Man who ever lived and explain the greatest event that ever took place?
Jesus the son of God, in fact the Bible says Jesus actually is God (part of the Godhead...the Trinity, Colossians 2:8, 9), died for you and for me. Jesus proved that He has the power to save by rising again on the third day and He promises to come back and put an end to sin and suffering (John 14:1-3, Revelation 21:1-4). That is a God worth worshipping and honoring!
